It´s funny how some birds so small can make such an amount of noise. Take for example the Great Reed Warble, or the Jay. Now take the Little Bustard, a bird that is quite shy and hard to see at times due to the length of grass. However, the past few days I have been hearing them at a certain spot. The sound is likes it comes from anywhere, it could be close or far away, very few clues are given as to their whereabouts. Have a listen and you can hear this particular bird. He tosses his head up and makes a noise like the quick rubbing of smooth stones every 10 seconds or so, the sound is delayed of course since it´s about 150m away. Then he dissappears into the grass…
